How does tVNS® work?
① With tVNS-L®, mild electrical stimulation is applied to the vagus nerve in the ear. ② These signals are transmitted through specific nerve fibers first to the brainstem (⑤) and then to the relevant control centers of the brain. ③ This stimulation leads to the secretion of neurotransmitters from the brain and an increase in parasympathetic activity. ④ Treatment with tVNS-L® is applied by the patient themselves.
